Leti to Present New low-cost Array Detectors at Photonics West and host a workshop

Leti will present new array detectors in the THz waveband, based on antenna coupled microbolometers (320 x 240 pixels) and host a workshop in San Francisco, on Feb. 1st.

This year at Photonics West, the world's largest multidisciplinary event focusing on photonics technologies, Leti will presents its smart-array-detector plane arrays that enable THz real-time imaging in the most effective way - similarly to visible digital cameras.

Leti's unique technology enables wide application of low-cost and low-SWAP (Size, Weight, and Power) cameras. The resulting performance/cost trade-off is a state-of-the-art uncooled camera with the counterpart of the need of an external THz source (active imaging). THz radiation opens a wide range of potential applications such as non-destructive testing for various industries - e.g. agriculture, automotive, defense and security (airport screening), biology and medical.

Simultaneously, Leti will host a workshop "Shaping the future of Photonics with Leti" on Feb. 1st, 5:15 pm, W Hotel, San Francisco. Leti's experts will discuss silicon photonics, THz imaging, trends and challenges in optical sensing and monolithic LED arrays towards novel lighting generation.
