Ambroisie

Published on 18 April 2017

RESEARCH PROGRAMS

Study of innovative grinding systems
Study and optimisation of the interactions between torrefaction/grinding and powder injection
Optimisation of energy consumption

EQUIPMENT CHARACTERISTICS

Universal grinder

  • - Hammer, knife or mixed grinder
    - Inert atmosphere (nitrogen)
    - Mass flow: 5-50 kg/h
    - Feedstock : wood or agricultural residues

Vibrating grinder

- Grinding load depending on feedstock particle:
      - Grinding bars: 5-50 mm
      - Cylpebs (spheres): > 5 mm
- Inert atmosphere (nitrogen)
- Mode: batch (10 L) or continuous (5-25 kg/h depending on feedstock particle size distribution)
- Feedstock : wood, agricultural residues, non-hazardous wastes

INSTRUMENTATION

Energy consumption measurement
Mass flow measurement
Powder characterisation:

  • - Size distribution (sieving, Camsizer) and shape (Morpho G3, Camsizer)
  • - Rheology (Freeman FT4, Revolution)
    - Flowability, fluidisation (Revolution)
