Lipid metabolism of the parasite Toxoplasma gondii: evidence of a different origin of the fatty acids according to the parasitic stage

Researchers at the Cell & Plant Physiology laboratory in collaboration with researchers from the Laboratory of the Adaptation and Pathogenesis of microorganisms from Grenoble have shown the importance of the apicoplast for the synthesis of Toxoplasma gondii membrane lipids, depending on the parasite stage, and especially for the free circulating forms.
