Early responses of the cells of Arabidopsis thaliana to cadmium stress. Proteomics and metabolomics analyzes

Researchers at the Plant Cell Physiology laboratory in collaboration with other teams of the DSV, unveil the molecular and cellular responses of the cells of the plant model Arabidopsis thaliana, to cadmium.
Published on 2 May 2006
In this study, researchers within the team led by Jacques Bourguignon, reveal the molecular and cellular responses of the Arabidopsis thaliana cells to cadmium. Differential proteomic analysis of cultured Arabidopsis thaliana cell suspensions and treated with different concentrations of cadmium allowed them to visualize and quantify changes in protein expression.
