Researchers at our institute are studying the functioning, the assembly and the regulation of type 3 secretion system (SST3), a bacterial virulence factor. They offer the first model of inhibition of one type of AraC/XylS transcription factor by a proteic ligand and bring a new element of knowledge about the fine regulation mechanisms that are required to control bacterial pathogenicity.
