How to exploit genome sequences? An example coming from the flowers

A work carried out in plants in the Cell & Plant Physiology laboratory, shows that it is possible to build models that predict accurately the sites recognized by a transcription factor in the genome. This type of model will help to find, among cultivated species, functional equivalents of key regulators of the development or to the response of the environment, as well as their binding sites, in order to easily translate basic research results to species of agronomic interest.
