New therapeutic proposal and novel preclinical model to study cancer development and progression
Researchers from the Cancer Biology and Infection laboratory study choriocarcinoma and demonstrate the involvement of placental factor EG-VEGF in the development of this very aggressive cancer of pregnancy. They also offer less toxic therapies than those currently used chemotherapies, using the therapeutic potential of two EG-VEGF antagonists.
