Automatic inference of protein functional annotations is being 
increasingly used in order to cover the widening gap between the 
overwhelming known proteins and their functions. If computational 
annotations of proteins are to be relied on, predictions are expected to 
be highly accurate.
ECDomainMiner, a novel content-based filtering approach, automatically 
infers associations between EC numbers and domains (e.g. Pfam domain). 
These EC-Domain associations are then utilized to generate association 
rules as a predictive model to assign EC Number to protein sequences and 
structures. The method is recently generalized to predict GO terms for 
protein sequences and structures.
