Molecular labeling and bio-organic chemistry unit

Published on 12 April 2017
The molecular labeling and bio-organic chemistry unit (SCBM) brings together about fifty people including around twenty doctoral and post-doctoral students. The research focuses on the following themes: isotopic labeling, bioactive molecules, new tools for biology, nanosciences.

All these research uses unique expertise common to all researchers of the service: organic chemistry. This research requires, in most cases, a multidisciplinary approach carried out in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners.

The service is organized in three laboratories and one group, which each develop original and innovative approaches:

14C - labeling laboratory
Tritium-labeling laboratory
Bio-organic chemistry laboratory
Analysis group

The molecular labeling and bio-organic chemistry unit is affiliated with two Laboratories of Excellence in the Campus Paris-Saclay IDEX:

The Laboratory of Excellence in Research on Medication and Innovative Therapeutics (LERMIT).

The Laboratory of Excellence in Chemistry of Multifunctional Molecular Architectures and of Materials
(CHARM3AT).

It is also, since January 2016, coordinator of a European program, ISOTOPICS
Contact: Christophe Dugave , project coordinator
