This meeting takes place two weeks after President Macron's visit to Australia, during which the leaders of France and Australia agreed to strengthen their bilateral collaboration. In particular, during this visit, a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of quantum computing was signed between CEA and the Australian company SQC.

Dr. Jacq and the Ambassador exchanged views on the innovation ecosystems in both countries, and decided to work towards reinforcing collaborations between CEA and its Australian counterparts.

The Ambassador then visited LIST, a CEA institute dedicated to smart digital systems, where CEA's key role in the digital transition was emphasized.

Silicon Quantum Computing Pty Ltd (SQC) is a world-leader in quantum computing and has leading expertise in designing and demonstrating components of the quantum chip based on silicon-CMOS technology.
