Recruitment at CEA

Updated on February 2011

At CEA, most recruitment is to research posts. Recruitment is not by competition and there is no specific period of the year in which to apply. Each department handles its own recruitment and can recruit up to the number of posts in its annual recruitment plan.

For further details about CEA and to prepare your application, look under the CEA, research and innovation heading

To apply to CEA :

  • Check the CEA job vacancies website, which publishes an exhaustive list of posts for which we are recruiting, as they become available.

  • If you are interested in a particular job advertisement, you can submit your application on line and it will go to the person responsible for recruitment to that post.

  • You can also send us a speculative application. It will be put in an application library that can be consulted by all recruiters at CEA. For this, all you need is an e-mail address.

If your application is selected, you will have several interviews and an in-depth examination (possibly by a recruitment consultancy) to evaluate your potential for development within the organization beyond your first post at CEA. When you have successfully completed all these stages, you can sign your employment contract. Your employment will be confirmed after a probationary period.

Degrees recognized by CEA

CEA recognizes the vast majority of institutions awarding degrees authorized by the Committee for Engineering Qualifications and graduate degrees awarded following a full university course.

Status of CEA employees

CEA employees are not civil servants but they are covered by the Labor Code as it applies, with some adaptations, to research organizations that are part of public establishments with an industrial and commercial purpose (EPIC). An employment convention, which is a company-wide agreement supplementing the labor code, governs relations between CEA and its employees.
