For the first time ever, 60 bifacial photovoltaic modules were manufactured on the semi-automated assembly line at the Modules Platform operated by Liten, a CEA Tech institute. A demonstrator system was built using the modules to demonstrate the technology’s advantages.
MIT and Leti, a CEA Tech institute, co-developed a microsystem capable of analyzing cells’ mechanical signatures in detail. Their research was published in Nature Biotechnology.
Liten, a CEA Tech institute, has developed a tool to predict concentrating solar power (CSP) plant production based on forecasts of direct solar irradiance.
The Papyrus Industry Consortium (PIC) was established in 2016 to develop and distribute Papyrus, an open-source model-driven engineering (MDE) platform developed by List, a CEA Tech institute. The Consortium brings together thirteen industrial companies, including three large corporations.
Some 75 technology demonstrator models, 1,500 m2 of exhibition space, 1,000 participants from industry and academia: the 2017 #techday#cealist takes place today in Saclay (Paris region).
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
