Circulating DNA research team

The circulating DNA biomarker research team, led by Dr. Florence Mauger, aims to identify non-invasive biomarkers from a number of liquid biopsies (plasma, CSF, saliva and urine) for diagnosis. The goal is to enable early monitoring of complex diseases (cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, etc.).

The teamworks on her own in-house projects but also on collaborative national and European funded projects to identify potential signatures of complex diseases in circulating nucleic acids, T????????????????????????????????????

The team also develops new approaches for the analysis of liquid biopsies involving the use of E-ice-COLD-PCR, DNA sequencing and mass spectrometry. In particular, the team develops pre-analytical and analytical workflows for circulating DNA and tissue DNA from the extraction step, quality control steps (quantification, quantitative PCR and analysis of fragment sizes) to the sequencing  and analysis (whole genome and target) of the results.
