The Neurodegenerative Diseases Laboratory

Published on 12 April 2017

The Neurodegenerative Diseases Laboratory (LMN) is a joint CEA and CNRS research unit (UMR9199).

The LMN, directed by Emmanuel Brouillet, brings together almost 60 scientists with Research interests in Neurosciences, including mechanisms of degeneration, animal models, brain imaging, and gene-, cell- and drug-based strategies for treating neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease.

Some of the research projects of URA 2210 are “translational” in nature, designed to lead to clinical applications, thanks in particular to the strong links developed between this unit and Henri Mondor Hospital in Créteil.

The scientific output of UMR9199/LMN is generated with the support from the MIRCen Platforms and is based on collaborations with several academic laboratories in France and elsewhere, and with pharmaceutical groups or biotech companies.
