				<description>Radiochemists from the BioMaps unit (SHFJ) have developed and automated a new fluor-18 radiolabelling method for peptides used to characterize specific pathological molecular signatures and thus target treatments. Peptides were conjugated to a specific tag, then radiolabeled in a single step under mild conditions, making this approach an innovative solution for PET imaging of peptides labeled with fluorine-18.</description>

				<title>Alzheimer&apos;s: a more effective method to diagnose the disease?</title>

				<description>A study conducted by Maxime Bertoux (Unit 1171 Inserm / Lille University / CHU Lille) in collaboration with researchers from the Centre Hospitalier Saint Anne, the SHFJ (CEA-Joliot), NeuroSpin (CEA-Joliot) and the ICM shows that the morphological analysis of the cortical sulci would make it possible to recognize Alzheimer&apos;s disease in 91% of the cases, against 80% now by anatomical analysis of the cortex.</description>

				<description>NeuroSpin&apos;s psychiatric researchers and the Inserm U955 unit (CHU Mondor) coordinated, in collaboration with the ENIGMA consortium (an international group of researchers sharing brain imaging data), the first mega-analysis of diffusion MRI data including 3033 subjects with or without bipolar disorders. They identified extensive abnormalities in the cerebral white matter microstructure in sick people. Abnormalities that could represent a robust biomarker of bipolar disorder.</description>

				<description>​Two teams from JOLIOT (SPI / SCBM), in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati, confirm the interest of a drug candidate to treat the congenital creatine deficiency syndrome, a rare neurological childhood disease, responsible for developmental delays and intellectual disability. The results obtained in an animal model of the disease show that it is possible to administer, nasally, dodecyl creatine ester-loaded microspheres, thus improving the cognitive functions of treated animals.</description>
