Our organisation
I-Tésé is organised into five areas of expertise:
- The low-carbon solutions division focuses on technologies and solutions that can be implemented to achieve carbon neutrality and develops technical and economic approaches.
- The energy transition resource access division examines our dependence on the resources needed to implement this transition and the solutions that can be implemented, such as the development of the circular economy.
- The energy systems and society division studies possible changes in energy demand and use, drawing on contributions from the humanities and social sciences (sociology, legal sciences, behavioural economics, etc.).
- The Energy Market Regulation and Organisation Division focuses on developments in energy markets and the regulatory frameworks that apply to them, particularly for electricity markets.
- The Economic Modelling of Energy Systems Division develops and implements the tools and models that support the institute's various activities.
The institute's work is organised around research projects, most often conducted in partnership with other CEA institutes, French and international research institutions or industrial companies.
