​Our organisation

I-Tésé is structured around five areas of expertise : ​

• Our low-carbon solutions team focuses on technologies and solutions that can be implemented to achieve carbon neutrality ;  it develops techno-economic ​ approaches.

• Our energy transition resource access team examines our level of dependence on the resources needed to implement the energy transition and the solutions that can be implemented to reduce it, such as the development of the circular economy.
  

• Our energy systems and society team studies possible changes in energy demand and use, drawing on contributions from the humanities and social sciences (sociology, legal sciences, behavioural economics, etc.).
  

• Our Energy Market Regulation and Organisation team focuses on developments in energy markets and the regulatory frameworks that apply to them, particularly for electricity markets.
  

• ​Our Economic Modelling of Energy Systems team develops and implements the tools and models that support the institute's various activities.

The Institute's work is organised around research projects, which are usually conducted in partnership with French and international research institutions and industrial companies.
