Low-carbon energy production and storage technologies
Our objective: to understand and analyze the contributions of various low-carbon technologies (nuclear, photovoltaic, batteries, hydrogen, synthetic fuels, etc.) to the economics of energy systems. We are interested in the interactions between different energy production and storage technologies in interconnected systems (particularly the European electricity system).
Some examples of related research questions:

- How will nuclear power operate and generate revenue in electricity systems with high renewable energy penetration?
- How will nuclear power contribute to the flexibility of the electricity system?
- What is the value chain for SMRs and fourth-generation reactors?
- How will nuclear power be financed?
- How might remuneration mechanisms evolve?
- What is the place of the various nuclear power technologies in the global energy system?
