Mike Horn, extreme adventurer, and Cyril Despres, five-time winner of the Dakar motorbike race, have set themselves a new challenge: to revolutionise motor sport and, beyond that, mobility. The GEN-Z prototype, a new-generation hydrogen electric vehicle, was born with this objective in mind. It has been designed to lead the change towards a more sustainable future and win the 2023 Dakar Rally without fossil fuels. The CEA teams were asked to take up this challenge.
