4G has not been totally deployed that a European-Korean collaborative project, led by the CEA on the European side and ETRI on the Korean side, has already demonstrated the future services offered by the 5G during the last Winter Olympic Games in South Korea. 5GCHAMPION developed a fully integrated intercontinental 5G network proof of concept deployed at PyeongChang two years ahead of the official launch of 5G networks.
COMPUTING | NEW TECHNOLOGIES | HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING | SUPERCOMPUTERS
The StorAGe for Exascale Data Centric Computing (SAGE) system, researched and built as part of the SAGE project, aims to implement a Big Data/Extreme Computing and High Performance Data Analytics capable infrastructure suitable for Extreme scales - including Exascale and beyond.
NEW TECHNOLOGIES | COMPUTING | CROSS-FUNCTIONAL DISCIPLINES | MICRO-NANOTECHNOLOGIES | SPINTRONICS | MICRO-NANOELECTRONICS
Encoding information in the spin of a single electron, or hole, using proven microelectronic technology is the first objective of the European project MOS-QUITO. Thanks to the production of a dual-gate silicon MOS transistor, allowing for the initialisation, manipulation and reading of the spin of a hole using two quantum dots in series, MOS-QUITO paved the way towards large-scale integration of quantum bits.
ROBOTICS | NEW TECHNOLOGIES | EMBEDDED SYSTEMS | INTERNET OF THINGS
Together with major European industrial and academic partners, CEA, through its institute CEA LIST in Paris-Saclay, steps up its efforts to deploy advanced manufacturing technologies and robotics in industry.

Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) provide the automated intelligence that operates complex systems, ranging from smart grids to medical monitoring. Accessing and implementing CPS proven technologies is a key factor for the development of SME and Midcaps companies in the complex automation space. EuroCPS project provides the means to overcome this barrier.
