AI can improve industrial process monitoring and supervision—at least on paper. In more practical terms, the lack of safety guarantees has kept most industrial AI projects at the proof-of-concept stage. SafenAI provides the safety checks needed to effectively move AI into real-world production settings with confidence.

SafenAI’s Klarity SaaS platform was developed over several years of research at the CEA and SystemX. The software suite continuously verifies that AI tools deployed in production are functioning as intended, looking inside the proverbial black box to monitor parameters like performance, robustness, explainability, data quality, uncertainty, potential biases, and more.
 
The insights generated by Klarity empower users to put AI’s full potential to work to automate certain controls, optimize processes, enable predictive maintenance, and more. Klarity can also be deployed early on, when AI specifications are being drawn up and during development, for example, making future AI deployment even safer.
 
Of the company’s three founders, one is a CEA employee who participated in the Magellan startup incubator. SafenAI has a joint laboratory with the CEA to continue to improve the software and will initially focus on the French and other European markets.
