A new class of asymmetric catalysts: chiral-at-metal complexes


​​​​For the first time, researchers at the Chemistry and Biology of Metals laboratory demonstrate that it is possible to use metal complex (ruthenium) as asymmetric oxidation catalysts (sulphide to sulfoxides oxidation by hydrogen peroxide) wherein the only chiral element is the metal ion itself. These results open new perspectives in the very active and competitive fiels of the development of new asymmetric reagents.
