The coexistence of basic and applied research within the DSV, as well as transfers between the two, guarantees the technological maturity needed to create industrial value.
In the field of health, the DSV masters all stages of drug development, from identification of therapeutic or diagnostic approaches to clinical research, while proposing tools to monitor clinical trials.
In the field of bioenergy, the DSV is capable of conducting R&D projects extending up to an industrial scale.
A cross-cutting program for
accelerating the arrival of health technologies on the market
The DSV
accompanies this technological maturation by directly acting on its financing.
For example, it coordinates the “Technologies for Health” program, which
involves all CEA operational sectors. The program singles out ideas that have a
strong potential for industrial transfer, in order to facilitate their
development and accelerate their arrival on the market. It also accompanies the
proof of concept and prototype realization stages, two key steps in the
processes of value-creation and transfer to companies.
