Well Plate Maker is an application developed by IRIG researchers for creating well-plate plans. It uses a backtracking-inspired algorithm to place samples on plates based on specific neighborhood constraints. WPM is deployed in the form of an R package. Its objective is to allow the user to create one (or more) randomized plate maps in order to perform his experiments by controlling batch effects without programming skills.
