Around fifteen participants from IAEA member states, representing a diversity of cultural backgrounds and professional experiences, will be welcomed for two weeks. They will benefit from specialized training and mentoring sessions to advance their technical and managerial skills. Combining training sessions, workshops, and conferences led by experts from ITER, the CEA, and the IAEA, this program will enable them to expand their professional network and gain a better understanding of the institutional environment in the nuclear sector, thereby facilitating their career progression in this field.
Participants will have the opportunity to tour state-of-the-art research facilities at both ITER and the CEA, allowing them to discover the latest technological advancements and gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with managing large-scale projects in the nuclear energy sector.
ITER, as an international research project on nuclear fusion, brings major expertise in the management and construction of complex and innovative projects. The CEA is a key player in scientific and technological research in France, with recognized expertise in the design, implementation, and operation of large research facilities.
We are delighted to collaborate with France on the organization of this program
Pietro Barabaschi, Director-General ITER Organization.
I am particularly pleased that this flagship IAEA program will be hosted at the Cadarache site by the CEA and ITER, both because international scientific and technological collaboration is a factor of peace and progress, and because this program sends an important message to young women: that of daring to envision careers in the nuclear field.
Anne-Isabelle Etienvre, Chairman of the CEA.
