Zhangjiang Lab and the CEA will cooperate on information communications technologies and life sciences


​Zhangjiang Lab and the CEA are setting-up their collaboration and cooperation in the fields of Information Communications Technologies and Life Sciences.

​On March, 14th 2018, Prof. Xi Wang, Director of Zhangjiang Lab, a Chinese state-owned leading research entity located in Shanghai, and Christophe Gégout, Deputy General Administrator of the CEA, the French alternative energies and atomic energy commission, have signed a comprehensive agreement for introducing a cooperation in the fields of Information Communications Technology and Life Sciences.

►   "The collaboration is just the first step to the development of our exchanges and to the setting-up of specific joint projects in research areas which are of first importance for the research and innovation ecosystem of China and France", Prof. Xi Wang, Director of Zhangjiang Lab said. "We are really interested to collaborate with the CEA, a world-class innovation center that fosters a wide range of leading-edge researches on science and technologies"

►   "This first step paves the way to deep cooperation in key scientific and technological sectors between our two institutions", Christophe Gégout, Deputy General Administrator of CEA declares. "Through this agreement, the CEA strengthens its links with Shanghai sciences and technology ecosystem."

The parties will initiate joint activities to improve either party's attractiveness and develop research and innovation activities based on their knowledge and experience, such as:

  • performing joint research projects,
  • organizing joint seminars and meetings with local stakeholders,
  • setting up expert exchange between both partners.

In addition, they will exchange their respective expertise on innovation and technology acceleration fields, to support the development of the innovation campus Zhangjiang Lab on the basis of the experience of Minatec-Giant innovation campus (Grenoble, France).
