A fruitful week for CEA and Singapore


​On October 18th and 19th, two delegations from Singapore have come to meet scientists from CEA Saclay in order to kickstart new collaborations.

​A delegation from HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency) led by Mr Chan Tsan, Chief Executive of HTX, has visited laboratories at LIST Institute (DRT) and IRAMIS Institute (DRF). The exchanges with CEA scientists were focused on research led in order to fight against CNRB-E threats (chemical, nuclear, radiological, biological and explosive). HTX is a leading public agency formed under the Ministry of Home Affairs with the objective to advance science and technology to improve Singapore's safety and security.

A delegation led by M. Andy Hor, Deputy Chief Executive of A*STAR, accompanied by researchers and students from A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) came to meet scientists from the Jacob and Joliot Institutes of DRF. The goal of the discussions was to foster exchanges of students and researchers on biotechnologies, radiotherapy and innovations in health. A*STAR is Singapore's lead public sector Research and Development Agency and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore.  They work on various scientific areas such as health, microelectronics or energy.

These exchanges have allowed us to lay the groundwork for future collaborations between CEA and these prestigious Singapore institutions.​
