Workshop - Business Models for « Hybrid » district heating and cooling networks

As part of the IEA DHC Annex TS3, a Workshop will be organized at CEA INES on October 17, 2019, on the Bourget du Lac site (73) with industrial actors about business models for « Hybrid » district heating and cooling networks.

Published on 14 October 2019

The integration of the different energy networks, such as electricity, gas and heating/ cooling is considered as one of the key measures for decarbonizing the energy system. However, there is still a lack of suitable boundary conditions for the implementation of competitive business models, resulting in limited applications.

Aim of the workshops is

  •  to discuss concrete challenges from the French industry perspective,

  • to link the results of the latest R&D projects and with best practices examples,

  • to identify business opportunities and barriers for their implementation,

  •  to develop policy recommendations.

The workshop is directed towards:

  •  Network operators and energy suppliers (district heating/ cooling, electricity and gas)

  •  Policy makers, energy authorities and associations

  •  Consultancies and engineering offices

  •  National and international R&D institutes / universities
