Researchers at Irig [collaboration] describe the development of a molecular-based anode for the hydrogen oxidation reaction through noncovalent integration of a bioinspired Ni molecular catalyst at the surface of a carbon nanotube modified gas diffusion layer. This immobilization strategy allows them to obtain current densities of 0.4 A/cm2 approaching the 1 A/cm2 achieved by conventional electrodes.
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
