The Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG), created on January 1st, 2019, conducts research in biology, health, nanosciences, cryotechnologies and new technologies for energy and the environment. Physicists, chemists, biologists, physicians, computer scientists and mathematicians participate jointly in this fundamental research and the applications that result from it, giving the institute a remarkable capacity to respond to major societal challenges.

Department of Low Temperature Systems
The Department of Structural and Cellular Integrative Biology is composed of the Structural Biology Institute (IBS) and the Cell & Plant Physiology Laboratory (PCV)
Department of the Interfaces for Energy, Health and Environment composed of the Chemistry and Biology of Metals Laboratory (CBM) and the Molecular Systems and Nanomaterials for Energy and Health Laboratory (SyMMES)
NanoPhysics Department composed by the Quantum Photonics, Electronics and Engineering Laboratory (Pheliqs), Spintec Laboratory and the Modeling and Exploration of Materials Laboratory (MEM)
Health Department composed of the Cancer Biology and Infection Laboratory (BCI), Large Scale Biology Laboratory (BGE) and the Physiopathology of the CytoskeletonGroup (GPC)
