Sébastien MARTINET
Dr. Hab.
Senior Expert
An electrochemical engineer, Sébastien Martinet has more than two decades of experience with batteries. After completing his PhD in process engineering in 1999, he worked for industrial battery manufacturer SAFT, where he stayed for four years, before joining the CEA. He obtained his accreditation to supervise research (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches, or
HDR) in 2012. Since then, he has supervised some 20 PhDs. His main research focus is the optimization of battery performance and durability to advance energy storage technologies.
