Loïc Simonin completed his PhD on the development of anode materials for Li-ion batteries in 2009. He then joined CEA-Liten, working as a researcher and project manager for more than fifteen years. During this time, his focus was the development of new cathode and anode materials for Li-ion and Na-ion batteries. His project management roles have spanned a variety of projects with industrial and academic partners. One of these was the H2020 NAIADES project, which he coordinated. This project led to a spin-off called TIAMAT, created to manufacture Na-ion cells. Today his research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of cathode and anode materials for Na-ion batteries.
