François Legalland, new CEO of CEA-Liten


From November 1, 2020, François Legalland is appointed CEO of CEA-Liten. He is the successor of Florence Lambert who is joining a company close to CEA to contribute to the development of the hydrogen industry.

Biography

François Legalland began his career in 1997 at IBM Microelectronics (then ALTIS, a joint venture between IBM and Infineon) after graduating from Ecole Centrale de Lyon. First Process Engineer and R&D project manager, he then became Engineering Manager.

After two years in the wireless communication business at Wavecom as Head of Test & Packaging, he returned to ALTIS as Production Manager before being promoted Quality and Customer Service Director and then Test Business Unit Director in 2008.

In 2011, François joined SOITEC as Vice-President for Electronics Operations and Director of the Bernin site (38). He was in particular in charge of the industrial strategy and of its execution. In 2014, he became Vice-President for Solar Operations still at SOITEC and Director of the San Diego site in California.

It was in 2015 that François joined the world of research at CEA-Liten as Head of the Photovoltaic Cells and Materials Department and Head of the "heterojunction" program. Three years later, he joined the CEA Liten board of direction to be in charge of industrialization projects before being promoted Chief Operating Officer in 2019.

On November 1, 2020, François Legalland is appointed CEO of CEA-Liten.
