Dr. Laurent Hérault was born in Tours, France, in 1964. He was awarded a BS degree in electrical engineering and an MS degree in control engineering by the Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble, (INPG) in 1987 and a PhD in computer science by INPG in 1991. He won Grenoble University's Best Junior Researcher Award in 1990. Since 2004, he has been a CEA fellow. From 2009 to 2011, he directed the Wireless Communications and Security laboratories. Laurent is Vice President and Director of Leti's European Division since 2011.
