The MYCUBE project aims to offer, for the first time, a powerful viable technological solution to intensive memory-based computation. It is based on new nano-functionalities created by proximity of silicon nanowire transistors and non-volatile resistive memories integrated in 3D. Research work is cross-disciplinary and ranges from application to technological implementation including circuitry. A typical «In-Memory-Computing» accelerator circuit will be designed and manufactured at CEA-Leti, enhancing energy performance by a factor of 20 compared with a state-of-the-art Von-Neumann circuit.

Des chercheurs du CEA-Joliot (Service hospitalier Frédéric Joliot) ont réussi à déterminer la dynamique d’interaction in vivo d’un médicament opioïde (buprénorphine) avec ses récepteurs cérébraux, grâce à une approche originale d’imagerie TEP utilisant la 11C-buprénorphine. La TEP avec ce radiotraceur est actuellement intégrée à un essai clinique.
Fin août 2019, les télescopes de H.E.S.S. en Namibie enregistrent une explosion cosmique parmi les plus violentes jamais observées. L’analyse des données pilotée par un chercheur de l’Irfu révèle une origine commune aux rayons X et gamma émis lors de ce sursaut gamma. Un résultat qui contredit les modèles admis jusque-là !
