Researchers from MIRCen (CEA-Jacob) have shown that exposure to alpha-synuclein aggregates may affect dopaminergic neuron survival in Parkinson's disease by reducing astrocyte support for them.
Laboratory
The laboratory (LERI) research activity is based on the production, characterization and use of antibodies for analytical or therapeutic purposes.
Food Immuno-Allergy Unit (UIAA) is part of the department of Human Nutrition of the INRA. Attached administratively to the research INRA Jouy-en-Josas center, the Unit has been established in 1991 within the CEA Saclay, in the Pharmacology and Immunoanalysis Unit (SPI) of Saclay's Institute of Biology and Technology (IBITECS).
Analyses facilities
Our group collaborates with the synthetic chemists of the different groups of SCBM and IBITECS. The missions of our group consist in the set-up and realization of small- to large-scale purification processes followed by a detailed analysis of organic molecules prepared by chemists from SCBM. For this purpose, different techniques are routinely used: HPLC, Mass spectrometry, NMR, UV and IR spectroscopy.
