On 7 February 2020, in the follow-through of its call for accreditation launched in June 2019, the Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Innovation announced the names of the 39 institutes earning "Carnot Institute" status. These laureate institutes will receive annual financing for four years to strengthen joint research. Among them is the Organization for Partnerships in Leukemia (OPALE), a national consortium involving two divisions of the François Jacob Institute of Biology: IDMIT and IRCM.

SAN FRANCISCO – Feb. 3, 2020 – Leti, an institute of CEA-Tech, has developed a silicon nitride (Si3N4) 200mm platform for developing ultralow loss, high-power photonics in UV through mid-infrared wavelengths. Available in CEA-Leti’s SiN platform in a multi-project-wafer program, the breakthrough targets designers in integrated quantum optics, LiDAR, biosensing, and imaging whose projects require ultralow propagation losses and high-power handling capability.
