The Stimulation cell’s mission is to develop and maintain the hardware needed to run experiments on humans or animals (MRI-compatible visual, auditory and tacticle stimulation devices, responses buttons, eye-trackers, etc.). The team also maintains the computers controlling the experiments and supports the end-users.
Platforms ＆ installations
The mission of the mechanics and prototyping cell is to design and produce any mechanical assembly necessary to conduct studies in neuroimaging and neuroscience in animals or humans or any useful part for communication purposes (3D printing of brains, ...).
The Data Analysis cell is composed of 4 engineers deployed in 3 research units in order to meet the specific needs of NeuroSpin researchers for software development and analysis of heterogeneous brain data (neuroimaging, omics, clinical and behavioural data) used in the context of research conducted in clinical neuroscience, population imaging or cognitive neuroscience research.
The Cell culture laboratory aims at preparing in vitro models used to test interactions of cell lines with innovative drugs or contrast agents, but also at developing in vivo animal models for MRI studies. The lab also offers histology and fluorescence microscopy capabilities to image immunostained organs, allowing validating and complementing MRI acquisitions.
