KNOW-HOW TO MEET YOUR NEEDS :
Part of CEA Tech’s R&D focuses on the driverless car—an advance that will help make transportation more widely available, convenient, and energy efficient. CEA Tech’s institutes are working on the software, sensors, and other communicating objects that will equip tomorrow’s vehicles and transportation infrastructures
One of CEA Tech’s major research areas is the electric vehicle, with the goal of zero emissions in urban areas. Range is one of the main hurdles to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles, and CEA Tech is developing improved batteries and battery management systems (BMS) to extend vehicle range.
Increasingly, additive manufacturing techniques are the choice for producing parts with very complex shapes. A new quality control process was recently developed to ensure that these parts are free from defects while they are being manufactured.
By inaugurating the first industrial production line for heterojunction PV cells at its Catania plant, ENEL Green Power has just given a strong signal for the future of this technology.
Industrial-sized batches of silicon heterojunction solar cells with yields of 24% were recently manufactured at high throughput. Some cells set a yield record of 24.25%. The test runs mark a new step forward toward readying this promising technology for manufacturing.
FlexFusion is a new software application that can combine data from different sensors to pinpoint a vehicle’s position at all times, even if GPS data is no longer available due to tampering or satellite signal issues.
A test bench for high-power PEMFCs is now up and running at Liten, a CEA Tech institute. The test bench can characterize stacks up to 100 kW.

How to collaborate with CEA Tech teams ?
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
