Each year, nearly 50 new integrated components are designed at CEA Tech institute Leti. The institute brings world-renowned know-how in analog, RF, digital, memory, and integrated hardware-software design. The institute is also leading the way in complex SoC (System on Chip) architecture and very-low-power component design.
Leti possesses all the know-how required to design integrated components like sensors, imagers, and SoCs at technology nodes from 180 nm to 22 nm (FDSOI).
The institute's work also encompasses CAD tool development for integrated-component design, as well as emulators and characterization and testing equipment.
The Silicon Impulse program, set up in 2015, supports manufacturers with all their product development needs, from concept to manufacturing, helping speed up time to market.

The P-link peripheral-to-peripheral high-speed data transfer system is cheap, robust, efficient, and low-power, making it the perfect candidate to replace copper or fiber optic cable in some applications.
Transdev, a company that specializes in transportation technology, has kicked off a program to characterize and evaluate LiDAR sensors. The testing campaign will lead to improvements in autonomous vehicle performance and safety.
In research conducted under the EU PLAT4M project, Leti, a CEA Tech institute, helped develop a new silicon photonics platform addressing optical communications for high-performance computing. The developments will reduce component costs while improving speed and energy consumption.
Leti, a CEA Tech institute, has come up with a method for troubleshooting background-noise-related disturbances in NEMS electromechanical nanoresonators. The new method will pave the way for further performance enhancements. The research was published in Nature Nanotechnology.
