Smart digital systems
The number of connected objects in use is growing exponentially. And CEA Tech institute List is conducting R&D to give connected objects the capacity to interact naturally with users and the environment. List researchers are developing reliable, secure communications and are designing intuitive interfaces (haptic solutions, augmented reality, and enhanced ergonomics) to help deliver new services to users. List is also investigating language analysis, using data processing and image interpretation to identify context and facilitate interactions with users.
This research leverages state-of-the art technologies, positioning List to bring its partners a substantial competitive advantage on the connected objects market.
ALL TECHNOLOGY PLATFORMS
Arcure, founded in 2009, develops 3D vision systems for industrial and construction vehicles with the support of List, a CEA Tech institute. The company recently completed its initial public offering. We spoke to List artificial intelligence, language, and vision expert Patrick Sayd, who develops the image-analysis-based pedestrian-detection technology Arcure uses in its products.
A method based on a model of human memory has made it possible for neural networks to learn incrementally. This advance will open the door to new possibilities in the field of autonomous systems.
Research conducted under two EU projects has given rise to a new distributed energy management platform capable of coordinating the energy consumption of households at the scale of an entire neighborhood.
Researchers at List, a CEA Tech institute, won first prize in the RAW competition for its smart positioning and routing software for reconfigurable architectures.
Tomorrow’s land transportation will be clean, smart, and shared. CEA Tech has been driving advances in the vehicle of the future through targeted research programs for years.
How to collaborate with CEA Tech teams ?
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
