Speeding innovation for industry
Technologies for healthcare
DOSEO is home to a broad range of activities, from innovation to training and services, all focusing on radiotherapy and medical imaging. The platform’s scientists use their expertise in dose simulation, calculation, optimization, and metrology to develop specific software and instruments. The overriding objective is to personalize radiotherapy treatment and medical imaging protocols by tailoring doses to each individual case. The software developed at DOSEO also measures the dose delivered in real time or after treatment, enhancing safety.
DOSEO also offers training, testing, and product and protocol development services. The platform has advanced technology and equipment, including two medical accelerators, a scanner, and a broad range of measurement resources. A team from France’s national ionizing radiation metrology lab (LNHB) is housed at DOSEO.
ALL TECHNOLOGY PLATFORMS
Reference beams used to measure the doses delivered by X-ray imaging equipment used in interventional cardiology have been developed by France’s national radiation testing and metrology lab, LNHB.
The DOSEO radiotherapy research and training center recently created a new training course combining theoretical and hands-on learning over three two-day sessions. The new course is being offered in response to high demand from medical physicists.
A dosimetric reference was developed to more effectively control doses administered to breast cancer patients receiving electronic brachytherapy treatment.
LNHB, a laboratory of List, a CEA Tech institute, helped develop a transportable primary calibration instrument for radiopharmaceuticals.
Aquilab, France’s leading provider of medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment quality control and software solutions, signed a research contract with DOSEO to test and validate a new beam control method.
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
