12 inches technology is now the international standard, and CEA Tech institute Leti is equipped to make electronic components and develop turnkey solutions for its partners using this technology.
Leti also leverages an innovative substrate, FDSOI, to offer them value-added solutions to help reduce circuit energy consumption—crucial for today’s mobile devices and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
CEA Tech brings two decades of experience in nanoelectronics R&D and invented the flagship Smart Cut™ technology used to produce SOI (silicon-on-insulator). CEA Tech possesses a comprehensive range of dedicated equipment, tools, and know-how to effectively contribute to making 12 inches technology available for uses limited until very recently to 8 inches technology, for example in RF and MEMS applications.
ALL TECHNOLOGY PLATFORMS
The 300 mm pilot line at CEA-Leti, a CEA Tech institute, recently acquired advanced wafer defect inspection and review equipment to meet the needs of its industrial R&D partners.
Low-temperature (< 500 °C) transistor fabrication processes were implemented at CEA-Leti, a CEA Tech institute to demonstrate the integration of powerful CMOS systems in a world first. The successful implementation of these processes will pave the way toward sequential 3D integration that does not damage the chip or negatively impact performance.
For the first time ever, CEA-Leti, a CEA Tech institute, fabricated nanosheet transistors with seven levels of stacked silicon channels. This advance will pave the way to smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient devices.
CEA-Leti, a CEA Tech institute, is gradually shifting over to more sustainable practices.
CEA-Leti, a CEA Tech institute, unveiled a state-of-the-art demonstrator chip for high-performance computing applications at ISSCC 2020. The low-cost, energy-efficient processor is built on an innovative multi-core system that is both modular and expandable
How to collaborate with CEA Tech teams ?
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
