Extende provides expert support for manufacturers using CIVA, the most prominent non-destructive testing simulation software in the world.

Technology

Developed by List, CIVA covers all of the main industrial NDT techniques (ultrasonic, Eddy current and radiographic) and counts more than 200 users in 40 countries. The software is used to simulate future tests in order to shorten test length, reduce test costs, and improve defect detection and identification.

As an official CIVA reseller, Extende offers training and support services. The company can also assess customers’ testing specifications, provide proof of performance, help prepare for quality certification audits, and more. Extende sends requests for CIVA improvements to List, where 40 researchers are constantly improving the software and adding new features.

Founded in 2010, the startup has a diverse customer base that spans the nuclear, oil and gas, rail, aeronautics and space industries. The company works closely with a US-based subsidiary and has a sales network covering China, Japan, India, South Korea, and Russia.
