Le CEA s’implique dans la construction de l’espace européen de la recherche. Il est présent et reconnu au sein d’initiatives et instances européennes et se mobilise notamment dans, dans le 8ème programme cadre de recherche et développement, Horizon 2020.
The CEA is involved in the construction of the European research space. It is present and recognized in European initiatives and bodies and participates in the Eighth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, Horizon 2020.
The CEA develops and maintains bilateral relations with nuclearized countries, countries envisaging the construction of nuclear power plants within various time frames, countries with nuclear activities other than power generation.
Dès sa création en 1945, le CEA a été investi de missions régaliennes dans les domaines des usages de l’énergie nucléaire. Il contribue aux capacités d’arbitrage du gouvernement français.
