The strategy adopted for protecting pancreatic islets from immune rejection is to microencapsulate them in soft, porous, biocompatible microcapsules. CEA-Leti was project coordinator and leader for microcapsule production, characterisation, dissemination and planned usage.
Our goal: to integrate various societal aspects into the systemic vision developed by I-Tésé.

Today, energy sufficiency is seen in France's energy strategy as one of the four pillars of the energy transition, alongside nuclear energy, renewable energies, and energy efficiency. Studying energy sufficiency is of paramount importance for developing a systemic vision of the energy transition. However, this concept raises many research questions that I-Tésé seeks to address through internal projects or collaborations, with a view to promoting transdisciplinarity.
Since 2023, I-Tésé has been conducting research aimed at better understanding the structure of heat demand in France.
