In June 2024, TRIPOLI-4® has been awarded the "Grand Prix" by the French Nuclear Energy Society (SFEN), in recognition of its contributions in support of the French nuclear industry. The award ceremony for the TRIPOLI-4® code team took place at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris, during the SFEN general meeting.
The motivations of the Grand Prix read as follows. An essential tool for neutron simulation for thirty years, the TRIPOLI-4® code has two main objectives. The first is to be at the forefront of serving the nuclear industry of today and tomorrow: widely used at the CEA in neutron R&D, TRIPOLI-4® is also deployed by CEA's industrial partners (EDF, Framatome, Orano, and TechnicAtome) and at the ASNR. The second is to always offer features that meet the highest international standards.
The TRIPOLI-4® user community is steadily growing: the annual seminar dedicated to the code now attracts nearly a hundred participants.
