The Frédéric Joliot Institute (and in particular the SPI/LERI), a Research Team from the Bicêtre Hospital APHP— Paris-Sud University and NG Biotech have developed new rapid tests to detect certain forms of antimicrobial resistance in hospitals. These test-strips, more practical, faster and cheaper, will be industrialized and produced by the company NG Biotech in France and are already partly on the market. They will detect the presence of multi-resistant bacteria posing a potential health risk.
