The molecular labeling and bio-organic chemistry unit (SCBM) brings together about fifty people including around twenty doctoral and post-doctoral students. The research focuses on the following themes: isotopic labeling, bioactive molecules, new tools for biology, nanosciences.
All these research uses unique expertise common to all researchers of the service: organic chemistry. This research requires, in most cases, a multidisciplinary approach carried out in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners.
The service is organized in three laboratories and one group, which each develop original and innovative approaches:
The molecular labeling and bio-organic chemistry unit is affiliated with
two Laboratories of Excellence in the Campus Paris-Saclay IDEX:
The Laboratory of Excellence in Research on Medication and Innovative Therapeutics (LERMIT).
