Researchers from BIAM (CEA / Cadarache), in collaboration with a Research Team of the Frédéric Joliot Institute (I2BC@Saclay), the BGE laboratory and ESFR (Grenoble) have discovered an enzyme that allows microalgae to transform certain from their fatty acids to hydrocarbons using only light energy.
