NeuroSpin platforms

Published on 24 April 2023

Directed by Cyril Poupon, NeuroSpin's platform includes 11,000 m2 of laboratories, offices, technical laboratories and conference facilities. They are equipped to acquire and analyze imaging data in the context of biomedical research protocols (in healthy volunteers or patients, children or adults). These platforms are complemented by resources and laboratories in electronics, mechanics, chemistry, and histology.

NeuroSpin's platform has personnel, premises and authorizations for preclinical imaging and biomedical research in healthy or sick, minor or major volunteers.

The studies are carried out in strict compliance with the regulations in force in France and in the European Union.

NeuroSpin platforms are certified IBiSA.

Imaging systems of NeuroSpin

  • Preclinical 7T MRI (Bruker Pharmascan)

  • Preclinical 11.7 T MRI (Bruker)

  • Preclinical 17,2 T MRI (Bruker)

  • Clinical 3 T MRI (Siemens Trio TIM)

  • Clinical 7 T MRI (Siemens TIM)

  • Clinical Iseult 11.7 T MRI

  • Magnetoencephalography (MEG) (Neuromag / Elekta)

  • Electroencephalography (EEG) (Electrical Geodesics and Brain Amp)

  • Deep imaging platform (DIP)

  • CATI: a large instrument for population imaging

Platform cells

NeuroSpin's platform includes operational cells. These cells rely on the expertises present in the units of NeuroSpin and are therefore linked to them.

  • Stimulation cell

  • Mechanics and prototyping cell

  • Data analysis cell

  • Histology and cell culture

  • Cell fo health and animal welfare

  • Biomedical research administration cell

  • Biomedical research imaging cell

  • Storage & cell computing infrastructure and basic software
